Trump: If Mamdani resists ICE arrest of illegal immigrants, we will arrest him
New York State Representative Zohran Mamdani won the Democratic primary for New York City Mayor. US President Trump said on the 1st that if he resists the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) after being elected mayor, “we must arrest him.”
After winning the Democratic primary, Mamdani attracted national attention, especially his criticism of income inequality and his defense of his condemnation of Israel’s policies, including the Gaza War. Mamdani also said a few days ago, “I don’t think billionaires should exist,” “because, honestly, in such an unequal era, that’s a lot of money. Ultimately, what we need more is equality across the city, the state, and the country.”
On the 30th, the White House said that Mamdani was a “communist” and believed that if Mamdani was elected mayor, Trump would probably find it difficult to work with such a person.
Trump visited the Alligator Alcatraz immigration detention center in Florida on the 1st. Some media asked, if Mandani chooses to resist ICE agents’ arrest of illegal immigrant criminals in New York City after being elected, how will the federal government react?
