September 3 Beijing Tiananmen Square military parade Japanese media: China invites Trump to attend

China is scheduled to hold a military parade in Tiananmen Square in Beijing on September 3. Japan’s Kyodo News reported on the 29th, citing sources, that the Chinese government will invite US President Trump to attend the military parade.
The Chinese government recently announced that a ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War will be held in Tiananmen Square on the morning of September 3, including a military review. Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Military Commission and President of China, will deliver an important speech. If it happens, this will be the first face-to-face meeting between Trump and Xi Jinping since Trump took office in his second term.
The aforementioned source also mentioned that since this year also marks the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations, the Trump administration proposed to invite Xi Jinping to visit the United States when the UN General Assembly meets in New York in September.
