Incheon Airport falling accident! Indonesian man fell from 3rd floor and died in hospital
South Korea’s Incheon International Airport was shocked by a fall this morning (27th). An Indonesian man fell from the third floor of the third terminal to the first floor underground. He lost consciousness on the spot and died of his injuries after being sent to the hospital. The airport immediately blocked the scene and cooperated with the police in the investigation. The detailed cause is still to be clarified.
According to the “Korea JoongAng Daily” report, the incident occurred at 8:11 am local time. The man was originally scheduled to take a flight to Jakarta, Indonesia at 10:35 that day, but he suddenly fell from the J counter area on the third floor to the B1 floor before boarding. At that time, passengers at the scene screamed in shock, and witnesses said bluntly that “the scene was horrifying.”
Firefighters and medical personnel quickly arrived after receiving the report, performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on the man, and immediately sent him to the hospital, but he was eventually pronounced dead.
The police have currently reviewed the surveillance cameras and initially ruled out the possibility of other people’s involvement. It is suspected that the man fell on his own, but the exact cause of the incident is still under investigation. Incheon Airport also stated that the security inspection and cleanup of the area had been completed and the overall operation of the airport was not significantly affected.
