Six people in Brooklyn attacked an Asian teenager with knives and guns, stole a motorcycle and fled

A few days ago, a group of gangs in Brooklyn armed with dangerous weapons such as machetes and airsoft guns assaulted a 15-year-old Asian teenager in the 62nd Precinct of the New York Police Department, and robbed his moped, keys and sneakers before escaping. The New York Police Department is looking for several suspected robbery gangs and calls on the public with information to provide clues to help catch the criminals.
According to the New York Police Department, at 11:11 a.m. on the 16th (Monday), six unidentified gangs attacked a 15-year-old Asian teenager in the area of 18th Avenue and Bay Ridge Parkway. One of them was holding a machete and the other was holding an airsoft gun. After beating the victim and forcibly taking his motorcycle, sneakers and keys, they fled the scene and their whereabouts are unknown. After medical personnel arrived at the scene, they sent the victim to Maimonides Medical Center for treatment. No one has been arrested so far and the case is still under investigation.
State Senator Steve Chan’s office released a video of the incident on the 18th. In the video, several young men wearing full-face masks and hoodies dragged the boy to the ground, kicked him, and then rode away on an unlicensed motorcycle after holding his sneakers high up.
Steve Chan said that such violent crimes are not only illegal, but also seriously threaten community safety. He pointed out that the group had committed crimes in the community many times in the past, and called on the victimized students to contact his office as soon as possible to assist in reporting the case and subsequent police investigations, bringing these criminals to justice, and protecting the safety of students.
Steve Chan emphasized in his statement that maintaining public safety is his core concern, and called on citizens and young students to strengthen their bodies and cultivate self-defense awareness on the one hand, and to call the police if they encounter such violence and robbery on the other hand. If you need help, you can contact his constituency office at 6605 Fort Hamilton Parkway, or call (718) 333-0311.
