Khamenei is currently hiding in a bunker and has suspended electronic communications

The New York Times reported on the 21st that three Iranian officials with knowledge of the matter revealed that due to concerns about assassination, Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei is currently mainly in contact with Iranian commanders through a trusted assistant and has suspended electronic communications to reduce the risk of his whereabouts being exposed.
The New York Times said that Khamenei is currently hiding in a bunker and has selected several candidates in the Iranian military command system to prevent more of his important deputies from being assassinated. These officials revealed that what is more noteworthy is that Khamenei has even nominated three senior clerics as his successors to prevent him from being assassinated.
The conflict between Israel and Iran has continued to escalate in recent days. Several anonymous US officials disclosed to multiple media on the 15th that US President Trump vetoed Israel’s plan to assassinate Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei. However, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu did not comment on this that day, and another Israeli official said the report was “fabricated.” According to NBC, Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi talked about Israel’s threat to assassinate Khamenei in an interview with the media on the 20th. Araghchi said that it “would be the biggest crime they have committed, but they can’t do it.”
