The 79K tourist bus on Provincial Highway 3 lost speed and overturned on a downhill slope! The driver died and the female tour guide was unconscious and sent to the hospital
At 79 kilometers on Provincial Highway 3, a tour bus overturned at around 5 p.m. today (30th). Police and firefighters arrived at the scene and found that the tour bus was not carrying any passengers at the time, but the male driver, who was about 60 years old, lost vital signs on the spot, and the female tour guide sitting in the co-pilot seat was unconscious. Both were sent to the National Taiwan University in Zhudong for emergency treatment. The driver was pronounced dead earlier.
Hsinchu County police and firefighters pointed out that they received a report of a car accident in front of the Green World Leisure Farm in Beipu Township at around 4 p.m. At the time, the tour bus was on a downhill section and was suspected to have lost speed and collided with a small passenger car, causing it to overturn and affect at least 6 small passenger cars. The Hsinchu County Fire Department dispatched 6 vehicles with a total of 13 people to rescue and rescued 2 injured people, but the driver died after being sent to the hospital. The detailed cause of the accident remains to be clarified.
