At about 1 pm today (26th), a serious car accident occurred in Miyun, a suburb of Beijing. Several children were hit at the scene. The casualties have not been further confirmed by the authorities.
The scene of the car accident was at the gate of Beijing Miyun No. 1 Primary School. Several children fell to the ground and medical staff were rescuing them. Residents nearby said that a total of 7 children and 2 adults were affected.
The mainland authorities issued a notice stating that the driver was a 35-year-old man surnamed Han. Whether it was a traffic accident or a social retaliation incident is awaiting further investigation and clarification.
