Iranian media reported that in the 12 days since Israel launched its attack on Iran, Iranian intelligence and security forces have arrested more than 700 people who were engaged in espionage for Israel. These spies carried out sabotage activities by operating drones, making homemade bombs, photographing sensitive military areas and providing intelligence to the Israeli army. People familiar with the matter revealed that more than 10,000 drones were seized in Tehran, the capital of Iran alone.

On the 25th local time, three people who were identified as “Israeli Intelligence and Secret Service (Mossad) spies” were executed in Iran.

According to Iran’s Tasnim News Agency on the 25th, the three were accused of “carrying assassination equipment into Iran” and were executed on the morning of the 25th local time. The report also stated that the authorities said they “disguised the assassination equipment as alcoholic beverages” and smuggled it into the country, which eventually led to the assassination of an “important person”.

Three US officials revealed on the 24th local time that some key weapons stocks of the Israeli military are in urgent need of supply. Two of the officials said that in terms of inventory, Israel is particularly short of ammunition. And the price paid by the United States to help intercept Iranian missiles is not small. The acting U.S. Navy Chief of Operations admitted in Senate testimony that day that although the U.S. Navy has enough missiles to defend Israel, U.S. missiles are being consumed at an “alarming rate.”

It is reported that just as Israeli fighter jets were already in the air and on their way to Tehran, Iran to launch a large-scale air strike, U.S. President Trump set off for Europe to attend the NATO summit. As he walked towards the plane, a visibly frustrated Trump told reporters that he was unhappy with both Iran and Israel for violating the ceasefire agreement.

The report quoted a White House source and a senior Israeli official as saying that before boarding Air Force One, Trump had a call with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. During the call, Trump asked in an “unusually firm and direct manner” not to attack Iran. Netanyahu told Trump that he could not completely cancel the strike and needed to make some response to Iran’s ceasefire violations.

Israeli officials said that in the end, Netanyahu “decided to significantly reduce the scale of the strike, cancel the attack on a large number of targets, and only hit a radar system outside Tehran.”

Prior to this, Trump held a 1 hour and 20 minute meeting with the national security team in the White House Situation Room. Three U.S. officials revealed that before the meeting, Trump had “seriously considered” letting the United States go directly into the war and launching a strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities, especially the underground uranium enrichment facility in Fordow. After the meeting, he spoke with Netanyahu.
