A fatal accident occurred at the Sayajiraj Water Park in Maharashtra, India. The rod connecting the seats of a rotating amusement facility in the park broke during operation, and the entire seat was thrown out and hit the ground, killing one person and injuring three others.

According to Indian media reports, the accident occurred on June 18. Tushar Dhumal, a 35-year-old man, went to the amusement park with his friends. They rode a rotating amusement facility in the shape of an octopus. Unexpectedly, one of the rods connecting the seats broke during the rotation, causing the entire seat area to be thrown out.

After the seat hit the ground, Tushar’s head hit the floor. Although he was rushed to the hospital, he was pronounced dead. Three other tourists were also injured.

Tushar has filed a police report, alleging that the accident occurred because the park neglected to maintain the facilities and the park employees made the rides rotate too fast. Currently, the park manager and several employees are facing multiple charges such as negligent homicide and endangering public safety, but the detailed cause is still under investigation.
