On June 23, the disappearance of a 17-year-old girl in Qionghai, Hainan, attracted public attention. Previously, the girl’s family had issued a missing person notice, saying that the missing Li Moulan was in the first grade of high school and lost contact after school on June 20. On the afternoon of June 23, a Beijing News reporter learned from local officials that this morning, the police found a female corpse in Wanquan River, whose clothing and body shape were highly similar to Li Moulan. At present, the police are confirming her identity through DNA identification.

According to Mr. Li, the father of the missing girl, his daughter usually lives in the school. On Friday, June 20, as usual, his daughter would take a taxi home. However, that night, the family never waited for their daughter, and their phone calls were turned off. After searching everywhere without success, Mr. Li reported the case to the police.

The on-site search and rescue personnel told the Beijing News reporter that through surveillance video tracking, it was found that on the evening of June 20, Li Moulan took a motorcycle taxi to the city after school and finally got off near Wanquan River Road in Jiaji Town. At around 11:00 on June 23, a female corpse suspected to be that of Li Moulan was found in the Wanquan River.
