The female student whose private video of Dalian Polytechnic University was leaked committed suicide? Dalian Public Security Bureau: The “death certificate” circulated on the Internet is forged

On July 14, a “Citizen Death Certificate of the Zhongshan District Branch of the Dalian Public Security Bureau” circulated on the Internet, which stated that Li Moumou, born in 2003, committed suicide by jumping off a building at around 2 a.m. on July 13. The Li Moumou mentioned in the document has the same name as Li Moumou, a student involved in the recent privacy video leak at Dalian University of Technology, which has aroused the concern of netizens.

According to previous reports, in December 2024, during the Perfect World CS2 Shanghai Special Championship, Ukrainian player Zeus posted an intimate video of him and a Chinese woman in the fan group, which aroused public attention. After the incident fermented, Li Moumou, a student at Dalian University of Technology, was pointed out as the female protagonist of the incident.

On July 8, the website of the Student Affairs Department of Dalian University of Technology issued the “Notice on the Proposed Expulsion of Student Li Moumou”. The announcement stated that because Li Moumou committed improper behavior on December 16, 2024 and caused adverse social impact, the school intends to expel him from school in accordance with Article 30, Paragraph 6 of the “Regulations on the Management of Students in Ordinary Colleges and Universities” and Article 19, Paragraph 6 of the “Regulations on Disciplinary Punishment for Students of Dalian University of Technology”. Article 19, Paragraph 6 of the “Regulations on Disciplinary Punishment for Students of Dalian University of Technology” stipulates that “if improperly interacting with foreigners damages the national dignity and the reputation of the school, a demerit or above shall be given depending on the circumstances”.

In the disciplinary notice released on the official website of the school, Li Moumou’s full name was made public. This behavior was accused of violating the privacy rights of the students involved, which triggered widespread discussion.

Huashang Daily Dafeng News reporter noticed that the “Citizen Death Certificate of Dalian Public Security Bureau Zhongshan District Branch” was signed by Dalian Public Security Bureau Zhongshan District Branch and stamped with a seal, and the standard name of the bureau is “Dalian Public Security Bureau Zhongshan Branch”, so the authenticity of this death certificate is questionable.

On July 14, Huashang Daily Dafeng News reporter called the public telephone of Dalian University of Technology several times, but no one answered or the phone was turned off.

Regarding this matter, the reporter contacted the Dalian Municipal Public Security Bureau, and the staff said that after preliminary verification, the document was false information. Regarding the suspected forgery of public security documents, the police have intervened in the investigation and will handle the matter according to law. If there is progress, a relevant notice will be issued.
