The New York Post reported on the 4th that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s alleged secret daughter recently published a cryptic post on Telegram, speaking out against her father, accusing him of “destroying” her and “taking millions of lives.”

Elizaveta Krivonogikh, 22, an art school graduate currently living in Paris, France, is believed to be Putin’s youngest daughter. She shared the message on her private Telegram account, echoing her increasing openness and sharing of more personal photos on Instagram.

According to German newspaper Bild, Elizaveta wrote, “It feels freeing to be able to show my face to the world again.” She added, “It reminds me of who I am and the people who destroyed my life.” The Telegram chatroom is titled “Art of Luiza,” a reference to her work alias, Luiza Rozova. While the post did not specifically mention Putin, she has never denied widespread speculation about her true identity.

According to previous reports, Elizabeth, who “bears a striking resemblance to Putin,” was born in March 2003 and is allegedly the daughter of a brief affair between Putin and Svetlana Krivonogikh, a former cleaner who is now one of Russia’s wealthiest women and has previously been described in the media as “Putin’s acquaintance.”

Elizabeth’s birth certificate reportedly does not list her biological father, but her paternal name is Vladimirovna, a patronymic adopted by both of Putin’s daughters according to Russian naming conventions.

Although Elizabeth initially enjoyed the spotlight, she closed her Instagram account shortly after Russia invaded Ukraine after other netizens trolled her and suggested she was hiding in a bunker. Since her return, she initially maintained a low profile, often hiding her face in photos, but now appears to have changed her tune, reversing her stance on the Russo-Ukrainian war after previously lamenting that she “couldn’t visit my beloved St. Petersburg more often.”

Elizabeth has now publicly denounced her former lavish lifestyle and spoken out against the war she claims her father started, while working at a Paris art gallery dedicated to anti-war works. However, Putin’s critics are not entirely satisfied with her recast image, insisting that regardless of her stance, she should not work in settings where she could come into contact with Ukrainians.

“Am I really responsible for what my family did? They couldn’t even hear my voice,” Elizabeth wrote.
