A delivery driver surnamed Zhang, also known as Wu Boyi, in Taipei City, suddenly collapsed in front of the Muxin Police Station in Wenshan First Precinct, suspected to be experiencing discomfort due to the scorching weather. Fortunately, on-duty officers immediately noticed the situation, rushed to his aid, and called an ambulance to take him to the hospital, successfully averting the crisis.
The Central Weather Bureau reported that temperatures reached 36 degrees Celsius that day, making the weather unbearable and sweltering. The public was urged to maintain hydration and sun protection. Shortly after the weather warning was issued, a delivery driver collapsed in front of the police station.
At the time, police officers were organizing their equipment inside the station when they noticed a delivery driver surnamed Zhang, approximately 30 years old, parked on a motorcycle in front of the station. He looked exhausted and took special care of him.
Unexpectedly, Zhang suddenly felt unwell and lost his balance, collapsing to the ground. Officers Xu Shengzhong, Gao Ruisheng, and Li Chengru immediately stepped forward to support and check on him. They found him pale and breathing rapidly, suggesting he was suffering from heatstroke. The police officer immediately helped Zhang rehydrate and helped him into the police station to rest. They also called 119 for emergency assistance.
Zhang explained that while on a delivery trip, he was checking the delivery location in front of the police station when he suddenly felt short of breath and dizziness. He attempted to rest but collapsed. Upon waking, he saw police officers offering him water. Paramedics arrived and immediately rushed Zhang to the hospital for further examination and treatment. The police officer then returned to their duties.
