A double charcoal burning case has been uncovered in Sha Tin. At 4:09 PM today (3rd), police received a report from a man who had lost contact with his parents. Upon visiting their apartment at Block 32, City One, Sha Tin, they noticed an unpleasant odor and reported it to the police. Officers arrived and found the couple, 63-year-old Zheng and 62-year-old Huang, lying dead next to a pot of burnt charcoal.
Sources indicate that the complainant had left Hong Kong earlier and last contacted his parents on July 9th. He returned to Hong Kong yesterday (August 2nd) and visited their home today. Upon entering, he noticed an unpleasant odor coming from the bedroom and reported the incident to the police. Police initially believe the couple was struggling with debt and are investigating.
