The Emergency Management Bureau of Laiwu District, Jinan City, Shandong Province, issued a situation report on the 22nd:
From 0:00 to 5:00 on July 22, Laiwu District encountered heavy rainfall, with the maximum rainfall reaching 364 mm. Affected by it, mountain torrents occurred near Shiwuzi Village and Zhujiayu Village in Dawangzhuang Town, destroying and damaging 19 houses, causing 2 deaths and 10 people missing. At present, all efforts are being made to search and rescue the missing persons, and post-disaster rescue and follow-up work are being carried out in an orderly manner.
