A 27-year-old nightclub hostess surnamed Gu was attacked in the underground parking lot of Vieshow A16 in Xinyi, Taipei City, around 9 p.m. this evening (the 30th). She was slashed in the neck with a knife. Passersby discovered her lifeless and, despite emergency medical treatment, she succumbed to her injuries. Police have cordoned off the scene for investigation. According to Gu’s posts on Threads, the attack is suspected to be committed by her ex-boyfriend, and the circumstances of the incident are currently under investigation.
According to reports, Gu’s post yesterday (the 29th) revealed that her ex-boyfriend was a “terrorist lover” who destroyed all of her fine goods, clothing, and electronics. She subsequently filed a report at the Wuxing Street Police Station and applied for a domestic violence order, stating that the police had a record and would “see you in court.” However, tragic events occurred shortly thereafter.
Police stated that the stabbing was captured on surveillance cameras and that the suspect drove away immediately after the attack. The investigation is currently pinning the attack on an employee of the same nightclub. Mayor Chiang Wan-an has also ordered a full-scale police pursuit.
