
The victim was taken to the Government Medical College Hospital (GMCH) in Delhi. The hospital stated that the venom did not enter the bloodstream and that the poisoning was mild and not life-threatening.
According to the hospital, Govinda is still being monitored for any symptoms of poisoning. If any symptoms occur, toxicology procedures will be initiated immediately. The medical team has also requested that the family provide more details about the circumstances surrounding the snake bite for further evaluation.
India has a diverse snake population, with approximately 300 species, 60 of which are highly venomous. These include the Russell’s viper, krait, saw-scaled viper, and Indian cobra. These “big four” snakes are responsible for nearly all snakebite deaths in India.
