
Al-Waleed bin Khalid Al-Saud, a member of the Saudi royal family known as the “Sleeping Prince”, was in a car accident in London, England in 2005 when he was 15 years old. He was in a coma for 20 years and relied on a ventilator to survive in the hospital, but he eventually died on July 19 at the age of 36.
The New York Post reported on the 20th that the “Sleeping Prince” suffered cerebral hemorrhage and internal bleeding after the car accident and never fully recovered consciousness in the hospital. His father, Khaled bin Talal Al Saud, posted on social media X on the evening of the 19th, Taiwan time, saying that his eldest son died on the same day.
The “Sleeping Prince” was studying at a military academy in London at the time of the car accident, but was unexpectedly involved in the misfortune. After the car accident, he was admitted to King Abdulaziz Medical City in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, and remained in a coma, but his father never gave up hope that his son might fully recover until the end.
