Recently, a murder case in the yachting circle was exposed in the Bahamas. A 39-year-old engineer brutally killed Paige Bell, a 21-year-old female crew member from South Africa, on the superyacht “Far From It”.

The murder occurred while the yacht was anchored at Harbour Island in the Bahamas. When Bell was found, her upper body was disheveled, she fell in the engine room, her neck was cut, and she died on the spot.

The forensic doctor also found defensive scars on her arms, proving that she had fought desperately.

The arrested engineer was a Mexican national and was a crew member on the ship with Bell. After the incident, he was seriously injured in his arm. The police sent him to the hospital for treatment and charged him with murder.

The suspect has not been allowed bail at present, and the case is scheduled to be heard again on November 20.

Bell is from Johannesburg, South Africa, and was originally scheduled to celebrate her 21st birthday on July 11. The family members said in grief: “We are facing an unimaginable journey.” Her parents are flying from Durban to the Bahamas to deal with the aftermath and seek justice for their daughter.
