Dalai Lama celebrates 90th birthday, wears Team Taiwan hat, watches performance by the Third Prince

The Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, celebrated his 90th birthday in the northern Indian mountain city of Dharamshala on the 6th. Taiwanese people who came to celebrate his birthday presented hats and clothes embroidered with Team Taiwan. The Dalai Lama happily accepted them and immediately put on the hat. The Dalai Lama also watched the performance of the Taiwanese San Taizi, smiling and waving.
According to the video on the Dalai Lama’s social platform, members of a Taiwanese religious group sang for the Dalai Lama at the Dalai Lama’s birthday celebration. One of them presented the Dalai Lama with a baseball cap and jersey with the words Team Taiwan. After accepting them, the Dalai Lama put on the hat and gently touched the face of the presenter to express his blessing.
The Dalai Lama also stopped for a while to watch the performance of the electronic music San Taizi, who was carrying the national flag and holding a birthday peach lantern, and waved to greet him.
July 6 is the Dalai Lama’s birthday. Tibetan religious leaders held a meeting in Dharamsala on the 2nd. The Dalai Lama also delivered a speech via video, announcing that he would be reincarnated, which excited the Tibetans.
In addition to announcing that “the reincarnation system will continue,” the Dalai Lama also clearly stated that the Gaden Phodrang Foundation will be “the only organization that has the right to identify the reincarnated child,” which made the Chinese authorities who attempted to seize the power to designate the reincarnated child very unhappy.
